On 29 June Professor Sabina Mihelj gave a presentation at the ESRC GSR cross-government “Actionable Insights” seminar on Building Resilience and Learning for the Future. The seminar was attended by over 100 policy professionals and analysts from different Ministerial and Non-Ministerial Departments, Agencies and Public Bodies. Sabina’s presentation, entitled “Health Crisis Communication in Times of Populism: Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic” summarized the preliminary findings emerging on populism on health crisis communication, media policy and public attitudes and trust during the pandemic. It also outlined several recommendations for media regulators and professionals involved in health communication.
